Turning waste into opportunity

Every year Nigeria generates an estimated 2.5 million tonnes of plastic waste and only a tiny fraction of that waste is recycled, the rest ends up in landfills, tossed in waterways or on the side of the streets.

The lack of waste management infrastructure is the gap that Replast aims to fill. Replast is a recycling company that aims to solve plastic pollution in Nigeria by refining and reforming single-use plastics while contributing to the socio-economic advancement of a low-income population.

Replast aims to address the problem by refining plastic waste and providing avenues for its reuse. Our efforts to turn waste into opportunity is developing networks that reach under-served areas and creates new markets for recycled products.
